Unarmed Patrol Associates
CBMC Patrol Associates (PA) serve residential and commercial patrol needs of clients across the Northeast. Our agents are responsible for monitoring and patrolling facilities, as required. These agents are required to respond to all emergencies and alarms that occur during their shift. Our PA’s will work closely with clients and maintain continuous contact with them throughout their shift to ensure safety. All Patrol Associate’s maintain constant vigil of possible threats to our client’s properties, in order to minimize any disruptions that may occur.
Under general supervision, our PA’s are responsible for providing general surveillance while greeting visitors. Incumbents of this position maintain a post or security checkpoint and deal directly with the public in ascertaining their business, providing directions, and providing a security presence to the building or section of the building to which they are assigned. Incumbents do not have the power to arrest or detain individuals. All PA’s are professionally trained and maintain a daily shift log of all events that occur during their shift.
Key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature:
Observing for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
Report in detail any suspicious incidents
Greets members of the public and ascertains their business in the building or section of the building
Provides directions to members of the public
Provides a security presence for a building or section of a building; Prevents damage to property
May screen individuals with a hand held metal detector or have them pass through a metal detection device, where required
May possess and use a (walkie-talkie) to summon police, as required
Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates, where required
Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
